Poem: Fresh Picked Wounds

A cento is a “patchwork” poem comprised of lines from other poets' poems with only some punctuation changed. I post new centos periodically to share what I'm reading and keep the creative wheels turning. Citations follow each poem. This is August 2021's installment:

Fresh Picked Wounds

"You’ll never believer what your mother did . . .”

Covers her motherhood like a scandal? Hushes it like a profanity?
But I’ve already lived my childhood in silence.
C: Caring. Choosing. Commitment.

Every time I’m on the phone “tricking” you.
